Smoky Moon

Date of Photos: August 20, 2018

If you live in the western third of the United States you’ve probably been affected by the smoke coming from the wildfires in British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, California and probably more. One of the few upsides is pretty sunsets and the moon filtered through the  haze. Driving home from bowling last night I was amazed at the color of the moon so quickly set up my tripod to grab a few pictures.

When I left the exposure at 0, the moon came out too bright; so in these I stopped down the exposure to try to capture what I saw with my eyes.

Here are two.
